Oxalosis and Hyperoxaluria Foundation

Oxalosis and Hyperoxaluria Foundation (OHF) is the largest private funder of research into hyperoxaluria, a rare kidney disorder causing excessive oxalate production and increased risk of kidney stones, kidney failure, and systemic oxalosis. Founded in 1989, OHF supports basic, translational, and clinical research, patient and professional education, advocacy, and patient support, and has raised over $30 million for hyperoxaluria research. OHF played a significant role in advocacy for lumasiran (Oxlumo), the first approved treatment for primary hyperoxaluria type 1, which has demonstrated significant clinical benefits in reported cases[1]. The organization is registered as a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit and coordinates a global network of patients, families, researchers, and clinicians[1][4].
