Pacific International Securities was a prominent Canadian investment dealer and brokerage firm based in Vancouver, British Columbia. The firm specialized in providing investment banking, institutional sales, and retail brokerage services, with a particular focus on the natural resources, technology, and life sciences sectors within the small-to-mid-cap market. As a significant player in the Western Canadian capital markets, it frequently acted as an underwriter and agent for emerging growth companies listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. In 2005, the company was acquired by Canaccord Capital Inc. (now Canaccord Genuity) for approximately $45 million to bolster Canaccord's presence in the Vancouver financial sector. Following the merger, Pacific International's operations and personnel were fully integrated into Canaccord's global platform.
