Company intelligence / Profile preview
Pacific Medico was a Japan-based medical device company focused on respiratory and sleep-related equipment rather than therapeutics. The company imported and sold ventilators and manufactured and sold products such as sleep diagnostic devices, pulse oximeters, nebulizers, suction units, humidification systems, and related home-care respiratory equipment. It was acquired by Taiyo Nippon Sanso in October 2013 to strengthen the group's respiratory-device capabilities and home healthcare offering. In 2020, Pacific Medico was absorbed into sister company IMI Co., Ltd. through an absorption-type merger, and Pacific Medico was dissolved as a standalone legal entity. As a result, it should be viewed as a historical medical device company rather than an active standalone biotech or pharma business.
