Company intelligence / Profile preview
Palate Therapeutics is developing an oligonucleotide-based therapy that temporarily and reversibly alters how sweet foods are tasted and metabolized. In mouse models, a single dose led to up to 14 days of gene modulation in taste buds with minimal weight gain. The approach aims to prevent and manage metabolic diseases by changing food perception rather than food composition. The therapy may be used alone or combined with GLP-1 drugs.[1]
