Company intelligence / Profile preview
Palmerton Hospital was a community healthcare facility located in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, that served the Carbon County region for over a century. Originally founded in 1908, the hospital became part of the Blue Mountain Health System before being acquired by St. Luke's University Health Network in 2017. Following the acquisition, St. Luke's transitioned acute care services to the newly constructed St. Luke's Carbon Campus in Franklin Township. Palmerton Hospital officially closed its doors as an acute care facility in 2019, and the physical building was demolished in 2023 to make way for community green space. The site's legacy continues through outpatient services and urgent care facilities maintained by St. Luke's in the Palmerton area.
