Company intelligence / Profile preview
Pandion Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, using engineered immune modulators designed to restore immune tolerance with tissue specificity. Its proprietary TALON platform combined immunomodulatory effector modules with protein backbones and tissue-targeting elements to create both systemic and localized biologics. The lead program, PT101, was an engineered IL-2 mutein fusion protein intended to selectively expand regulatory T cells for diseases such as ulcerative colitis and systemic lupus erythematosus. Pandion also built a preclinical pipeline of PD-1 agonists and tissue-targeted immune modulators for autoimmune disease and transplantation. The company went public on Nasdaq in 2020 and was acquired by Merck in April 2021 for approximately $1.85 billion, after which it became a wholly owned subsidiary and ceased trading as an independent public company.
