Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation

Pangaea Global AIDS Foundation was a non-profit organization focused on expanding access to HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment in resource-limited settings. Established in 2001 and headquartered in San Francisco, the foundation provided technical assistance, clinical expertise, and policy guidance to international governments and healthcare providers. It was instrumental in the early scale-up of antiretroviral therapy (ART) programs, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia. The organization specialized in implementation science and health systems strengthening to ensure sustainable healthcare delivery. Pangaea worked closely with the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and was a key partner in global initiatives like PEPFAR. After nearly two decades of global health impact, the foundation officially ceased its operations in 2020.
