PanVera

PanVera was a biotechnology company specializing in the development and manufacture of proteins and drug discovery reagents. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, the company was a leader in providing high-throughput screening (HTS) services and biochemical assays, particularly utilizing fluorescence polarization technology. PanVera's product portfolio included a wide range of human proteins, such as nuclear receptors and kinases, which were essential for pharmaceutical drug discovery programs. The company was acquired by Aurora Biosciences in 2001, which was subsequently acquired by Vertex Pharmaceuticals; the PanVera assets were later sold to Invitrogen (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) in 2003.
