ParagonDx was a molecular diagnostics company that specialized in the development, regulatory clearance, and manufacture of pharmacogenetic testing kits. The company is best known for developing the first FDA-cleared molecular diagnostic test for warfarin sensitivity, which identifies genetic variations in the CYP2C9 and VKORC1 genes to help clinicians determine optimal drug dosages. In addition to its proprietary diagnostic products, ParagonDx operated as a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for other diagnostic companies seeking to commercialize molecular assays.
