Paramount Acquisition Corp. was a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), also known as a blank check company, formed for the purpose of effecting a merger, capital stock exchange, asset acquisition, or similar business combination with an operating business. In August 2006, the company completed its business combination with Bio-Reference Laboratories, Inc., a major clinical testing laboratory. Following the merger, the combined entity continued to operate under the Bio-Reference Laboratories name, providing a wide range of laboratory testing services to physicians, clinics, and hospitals.
