Parapharm Development is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on the development, registration, and commercialization of niche medicines and medical products. The company's portfolio includes Gestone (progesterone), an injectable hormone therapy indicated for luteal support, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and the maintenance of early pregnancy. It also markets Carbex, an effervescent formulation of citric acid, sodium bicarbonate, and simeticone used as a diagnostic gas-producing agent for double-contrast barium meals and to relieve esophageal meat impactions.
