Parker Hughes Cancer Center

Parker Hughes Cancer Center was a private, non-profit medical center and research institute based in Roseville, Minnesota, that specialized in the treatment and study of pediatric and adult cancers. Founded and led by Dr. Fatih Uckun, the center was recognized for its integrated approach to drug discovery, combining structural biology with clinical oncology. Its research pipeline focused on developing novel small molecule inhibitors and targeted immunotoxins, particularly for hematologic malignancies. Notable candidates included inhibitors of Janus kinase 3 (JAK3) and Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK). Despite its scientific output, the center faced significant financial and legal challenges, leading to its closure in the mid-2000s.
