Company intelligence / Profile preview
Pathmark was a prominent supermarket chain in the Northeastern United States that operated a significant network of in-store and freestanding retail pharmacies. Founded in 1968, the company became a major healthcare provider in its region, offering prescription services, health and beauty products, and basic medical supplies. At its peak, Pathmark was one of the largest pharmacy operators in the New York and Philadelphia metropolitan areas. Following a series of corporate restructurings and acquisitions, the original Pathmark entity was acquired by A&P and eventually liquidated in 2015, though the brand has seen limited revival under new ownership.
