Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Midlothian, Virginia, the organization pioneered the charitable patient assistance model, helping thousands of individuals afford high-cost specialty medications, health insurance premiums, and treatment-related travel. Accessia Health operates over 60 disease-specific funds and offers additional services such as legal assistance, insurance case management, and educational resources. In 2021, the organization rebranded from Patient Services, Inc. to Accessia Health to reflect its expanded mission of improving healthcare access and affordability across the patient journey.
