PDSHeart was a leading provider of remote cardiac monitoring services and diagnostic technologies, specializing in solutions for patients with suspected heart rhythm disorders. The company offered a comprehensive suite of services, including mobile cardiac outpatient telemetry (MCOT), cardiac event monitoring, and Holter monitoring. By utilizing advanced telemetric technology, PDSHeart enabled physicians to monitor patients' cardiac activity in real-time, facilitating the diagnosis of arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation. In 2007, the company was acquired by CardioNet for approximately $50 million, creating a dominant force in the wireless cardiac monitoring market. Its operations were eventually integrated into BioTelemetry, which was subsequently acquired by Philips in 2021.
