Penetrium Bioscience (formerly Hyundai ADM Bio) is a South Korean biopharmaceutical company and contract research organization (CRO) listed on the KOSDAQ (187660). Acquired by Hyundai Bioscience in 2024, the company has pivoted from a pure-play CRO to a developer of innovative oncology therapeutics. Its flagship platform, Penetrium, is a nanoengineered, niclosamide-based formulation designed to target and remodel the tumor microenvironment (TME), specifically modulating cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and the extracellular matrix (ECM) to overcome "pseudo-resistance" and enhance the delivery of co-administered therapies. The company is advancing Penetrium into Phase 2a clinical trials in the United States for solid tumors, while also conducting Phase 1 trials in South Korea for castration-resistant prostate cancer.
