People Working Cooperatively (PWC) is a non-profit organization that provides critical home repairs, energy conservation, and accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners, particularly seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio, PWC's mission is to ensure that residents can remain in their homes safely and independently, thereby improving their overall health and quality of life. The organization addresses social determinants of health by fixing hazardous housing conditions and installing mobility aids like ramps and grab bars. PWC serves approximately 20 counties across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana, utilizing a professional staff of over 170 and a volunteer base of thousands.
