Company intelligence / Profile preview
PeptiPro was a Norwegian biotechnology company focused on the development of peptide-based therapeutics for the treatment of preeclampsia. The company's lead research centered on peptides designed to inhibit the action of soluble fms-like tyrosine kinase-1 (sFlt-1), a protein that circulates at high levels in the blood of pregnant women with preeclampsia and contributes to vascular dysfunction. Founded as a spin-off from the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital, PeptiPro was supported by Inven2, the region's technology transfer office. Despite its innovative approach to a significant unmet need in maternal health, the company is no longer active, and its development programs have largely returned to academic or early-stage research settings.
