Percussionaire

Percussionaire is a respiratory medical device company focused on specialty ventilation and airway-clearance technologies used across hospital, transport, emergency, and home-care settings. The company develops, manufactures, and markets products based on its Flow Ventilation and TRUE-IPV technology, including intrapulmonary percussive ventilation systems and related respiratory care devices. Percussionaire was founded in Idaho by respiratory-care pioneer Dr. Forrest Bird and built its manufacturing and R&D base in the Sandpoint, Idaho area. In September 2022, the company was acquired by Sentec, which positioned the business as a complement to its respiratory monitoring portfolio. Percussionaire appears to remain an operating brand and product business within Sentec, serving clinicians treating patients with compromised respiratory function.
