Peterborough City Hospital

Peterborough City Hospital is a major acute general district hospital located in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, serving a population of more than 700,000 people across North Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire, and East Leicestershire. As the flagship facility of the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, the hospital provides a comprehensive range of secondary care services, including a 24-hour Type 1 Emergency Department, specialized maternity care, and a dedicated oncology center. The facility opened in 2010 as part of a Private Finance Initiative (PFI) to replace older local hospitals and features over 600 beds and modern diagnostic imaging suites. It also functions as a teaching hospital, supporting the training of medical students and healthcare professionals in collaboration with regional universities.
