PharmaAlgorithms was a specialized software company focused on the development of predictive models for ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion) and toxicity profiles of small molecule drug candidates. The company's core technology, including the widely recognized ADME Boxes and ToxBoxes, utilized advanced algorithmic approaches to estimate physicochemical properties and biological activities from chemical structures. These tools allowed researchers to predict parameters such as oral bioavailability, solubility, and metabolic stability during the early stages of drug discovery. In 2005, PharmaAlgorithms was acquired by ACD/Labs, a leader in cheminformatics and analytical data management. Following the acquisition, PharmaAlgorithms' predictive engines were integrated into the ACD/Labs suite, eventually becoming part of the Percepta platform. The company's contributions significantly advanced the field of in silico ADME/Tox screening, helping to reduce late-stage clinical failures.
