Pharmaceutical Sciences

Pharmaceutical Sciences, Inc. (PSI) was a contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) that provided specialized drug development services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The company focused on formulation development, analytical testing, and clinical trial material manufacturing, with particular expertise in complex drug delivery systems and small molecule development. PSI supported clients from early-stage pre-formulation through to clinical supply manufacturing. In 2010, the company was acquired by PPD (Pharmaceutical Product Development) to strengthen PPD's Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) and laboratory service capabilities. Following the acquisition, its operations were integrated into PPD's laboratory services division, which is now part of Thermo Fisher Scientific.
