Pharmacie Centrale des Hôpitaux (PCH) is the central pharmaceutical and medical supply agency for the Assistance Publique – Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), the largest hospital system in Europe. Operating under the Agence Générale des Équipements et Produits de Santé (AGEPS), PCH is responsible for the evaluation, procurement, and distribution of health products for 38 hospitals in the Paris region. Uniquely, it functions as a public pharmaceutical establishment with its own GMP-certified manufacturing facility, allowing it to produce essential medicines and orphan drugs that are commercially unavailable or in short supply. PCH also plays a vital role in clinical research by managing the logistics, packaging, and distribution of experimental drugs for numerous hospital-led clinical trials.
