Pharmacy Health Information Technology Collaborative

The Pharmacy Health Information Technology Collaborative (PHIT) is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that the pharmacy profession is fully integrated into the national health information technology infrastructure. Founded in 2010 by major national pharmacy associations, the collaborative works to advocate for the inclusion of pharmacist-provided clinical services in electronic health records (EHRs). PHIT focuses on developing and implementing HIT standards that support the documentation of medication therapy management and other clinical activities. By collaborating with standards-setting organizations and government agencies, PHIT aims to improve patient safety and health outcomes through better data exchange and interoperability. The organization represents the unified voice of over 250,000 pharmacists across various practice settings in the United States.
