Pharmadiol is a Russian biotechnology company and a resident of the Skolkovo Innovation Center, specializing in the development of original small molecule therapeutics for cardiovascular and hematological conditions. The company's lead candidate is dioxaban (marketed as Dimolegin, also known as DD217), a novel direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) that functions as a selective Factor Xa inhibitor. Dioxaban has completed clinical trials, including studies for the prevention of thromboembolic complications in hospitalized COVID-19 patients, and is positioned as a domestic alternative to global blockbusters like rivaroxaban and apixaban. Pharmadiol initiated the registration process for dioxaban in Russia in late 2021, aiming to provide a cost-effective and safe treatment option for thrombosis.
