Company intelligence / Profile preview
PharmaMab was an Australian biotechnology company focused on developing next-generation monoclonal antibody therapeutics for cancer and inflammatory diseases. The company's core technology, the Deoxymab platform, is based on the 3E10 antibody, which possesses the unique ability to cross cell membranes and the blood-brain barrier to target DNA damage repair mechanisms. Originally a spin-out from the University of Queensland, PharmaMab was acquired by Patrys Limited in 2016. Since the acquisition, the lead candidate PAT-DX1 has advanced into Phase 1 clinical trials for glioblastoma and other solid tumors. The platform's ability to selectively target cancer cells with existing DNA repair deficiencies makes it a promising candidate for various difficult-to-treat malignancies.
