Company intelligence / Profile preview
PharmaNet Canada was a prominent contract research organization (CRO) that provided comprehensive clinical development services to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The company was particularly recognized for its expertise in Phase I clinical trials and bioanalytical services, largely stemming from its acquisition of the Canadian firm Anapharm. PharmaNet offered a full suite of services including clinical trial management, data management, biostatistics, and regulatory consulting. Its Canadian operations featured some of the largest Phase I clinical facilities in North America, located in Quebec City and Toronto. In 2011, the company was acquired by inVentiv Health for approximately $600 million. Through subsequent mergers, including the 2017 combination with INC Research, its operations were eventually integrated into Syneos Health. Today, the legacy of PharmaNet Canada continues as a core part of Syneos Health's global clinical research infrastructure.
