- Social anxiety disorder, Adjustment disorder with anxiety
Company intelligence / Profile preview
Pherin Pharmaceuticals developed a pipeline of proprietary intranasal small-molecule drugs called pherines for acute treatment of neuropsychiatric and neuroendocrine conditions. Its lead asset, PH94B, reached Phase III trials for social anxiety disorder but had mixed results; PH10 was in clinical development for major depressive disorder. Other assets included PH15 for cognition improvement, PH80 for migraine/hot flashes, and PH284 for appetite-related disorders/cancer cachexia. In early studies—including an exploratory Phase IIa trial—PH284 showed promise in improving hunger in cancer patients with good tolerability. The company was acquired by Vistagen Therapeutics in February 2023 to consolidate the pherine portfolio under one roof.
