Phoenix International Life Sciences was a leading global contract research organization (CRO) that provided a comprehensive range of drug development services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, the company specialized in Phase I-IV clinical research, bioanalytical services, and regulatory consulting. At its peak, it was one of the largest CROs in the world, operating numerous clinical facilities across North America and Europe and maintaining a public listing on the NASDAQ. In 2000, the company was acquired by MDS Inc. for approximately $450 million and integrated into MDS Pharma Services, which was later restructured and sold to various clinical research entities.
