Piper Jaffray Ventures was the venture capital arm of the investment bank Piper Jaffray (now Piper Sandler), specializing in the healthcare and life sciences sectors. The firm focused on early-to-late-stage investments in biotechnology, medical devices, diagnostics, and healthcare services. Historically, it managed several dedicated healthcare funds that provided growth capital and strategic support to emerging medical technology companies. In 2004, the management of its healthcare venture funds was transitioned to SightLine Partners, an independent firm, as Piper Jaffray shifted its focus toward its core investment banking operations. Following the 2020 merger between Piper Jaffray and Sandler O'Neill, the parent organization now operates under the Piper Sandler brand.
