Overview
Planeeria was an emerging biotechnology start-up focused on the development of innovative tissue regeneration products for orthopedic applications. Founded in 2018 as a spin-off of Prudentix, the company developed Remelix, a pioneering, sterile, injectable biological therapy based on recombinant human amelogenin (rAmelX) technology. Remelix is designed as a local, single-dose intra-joint injection to treat injured articular cartilage and ligaments in traumatized joints by recruiting mesenchymal stem cells and pericytes to promote natural healing. Although Planeeria ceased independent operations in late 2021, its core regenerative programs and the development of Remelix continue under its parent company, Prudentix.
