PlasmaBiotics

PlasmaBiotics is a French medical technology company specializing in innovative solutions for the cleaning, drying, and storage of flexible endoscopes. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Argenteuil, the company developed the PlasmaTYPHOON and PlasmaBAG systems, which utilize cold plasma technology to ensure ultra-fast drying and active storage of endoscopes for up to 31 days. These products significantly reduce reprocessing cycle times and minimize the risk of bacterial contamination and cross-infection in healthcare settings. In 2018, PENTAX Medical (a division of HOYA Group) acquired a controlling interest in PlasmaBiotics, and in December 2024, HOYA acquired the remaining shares to become the sole owner.
