The company was best known for its H.E.L.P. (Heparin-induced Extracorporeal LDL Precipitation) apheresis system, which is used to treat severe lipid metabolism disorders and cardiovascular diseases. The company was publicly traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange before being acquired by B. Braun Melsungen AG in 2009. Following the acquisition, its technologies and products were integrated into B. Braun's Avitum division, continuing to serve patients with chronic kidney and blood disorders.
