Playtex Products was a prominent manufacturer and distributor of consumer products focused on feminine care, infant care, and sun care. The company is widely recognized for its Playtex brand tampons, which are regulated as Class II medical devices, as well as its innovative spill-proof infant cups and bottles. Historically, the company also held significant market positions with sun care brands such as Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic. In 2007, Playtex Products was acquired by Energizer Holdings for approximately $1.9 billion. Following a corporate spin-off in 2015, the Playtex brand and its associated product lines are now owned and operated by Edgewell Personal Care.
