Plus Orthopedics was a leading Swiss-based medical device company specializing in the development and manufacture of orthopedic reconstructive joint implants. The company gained significant market share in Europe through its comprehensive portfolio of hip, knee, and shoulder replacement systems, as well as its specialized surgical instrumentation. Known for its high-quality engineering and clinical success, its products were designed to address both primary and revision surgeries. In 2007, the company was acquired by Smith & Nephew to strengthen its global position in the orthopedic reconstruction market. Today, many of the original Plus Orthopedics product lines continue to be marketed under the Smith & Nephew brand.
