Overview
PneumoWave has developed a chest-worn biosensor with an integrated digital health platform to monitor patients at risk of life-threatening respiratory events. The company’s technology has received FDA Class II clearance for its Data Collection Mobile system. Clinical trials are ongoing in collaboration with leading academic centers to validate the effectiveness of the system in opioid overdose prevention and management of chronic lung diseases.
The company’s ALERT product provides real-time alerts for opioid-induced respiratory depression, while DCM monitors physical movement during sleep/activity. Early results support utility in both clinical research settings and potential outpatient/home use.
