Policy Analysis

Policy Analysis, commonly known as PAI, was a U.S.-based health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) consultancy serving pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and diagnostics clients. The company specialized in economic modeling, real-world data analytics, pharmacoepidemiology, quality-of-life assessment, health technology assessment, and value justification rather than developing therapeutic products. Founded in 1973 in the Boston area, PAI built a long operating history as an independent consultancy before being acquired by Avalere Health in 2022. Following the acquisition, the business was integrated into Avalere Health’s Policy, Access, Value, and Evidence organization, and PAI no longer appears to operate as a standalone active company brand.
