PolyProx Therapeutics

PolyProx Therapeutics was a University of Cambridge spin-out biotechnology company focused on discovering a new class of targeted protein degradation therapeutics called Polyproxin molecules. Its platform used engineered protein scaffolds to link a disease-causing intracellular protein to the cell's natural degradation machinery, with the goal of addressing hard-to-drug targets. The company initially concentrated on oncology and highlighted potential applications in lung, colorectal, pancreatic, and liver cancers, while some third-party profiles also referenced neurodegenerative disease potential. PolyProx raised seed funding from Cambridge Innovation Capital, RT Capital, Cambridge Enterprise, and LifeArc to generate in vivo proof-of-concept data. The UK legal entity, PolyProx Therapeutics Ltd, was incorporated in November 2018 and was dissolved on November 1, 2025.
