Porton Products

Porton Biopharma Limited (PBL) is a UK-based biopharmaceutical company specializing in the development and manufacture of life-saving biological products, including vaccines and therapeutic proteins. Wholly owned by the UK government's Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, the company was established in 2015 to commercialize the pharmaceutical development and manufacturing capabilities of the Porton Down site. Its core product portfolio includes Erwinase (asparaginase), a critical treatment for childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and the UK's licensed anthrax vaccine. PBL also provides contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) services to external partners, leveraging its expertise in high-containment microbiology and complex biologics.
