Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan, commonly known as PotashCorp, was a major Canadian corporation based in Saskatoon and the world's largest producer of potash. The company operated across three primary nutrient segments—potash, nitrogen, and phosphate—serving agricultural, industrial, and animal feed markets globally. Notably, it produced high-purity potassium chloride for pharmaceutical and healthcare applications, including use in intravenous solutions and dialysis. In January 2018, PotashCorp merged with Agrium Inc. to form Nutrien, creating the world's largest provider of crop inputs and services. Prior to the merger, it was a publicly traded entity on the Toronto and New York stock exchanges. The company's legacy continues through Nutrien's extensive mining operations and its critical role in the global food and chemical supply chains.
