Powell Goldstein

Powell Goldstein was a prominent American law firm headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with a significant presence in Washington, D.C. Established in 1909, the firm developed a robust national reputation for its expertise in healthcare law, real estate, and corporate transactions. Its healthcare practice was particularly distinguished, providing regulatory, compliance, and transactional counsel to hospitals, health systems, and life sciences organizations. At its peak, the firm employed over 200 attorneys and was considered one of the leading legal institutions in the Southeastern United States. In January 2009, Powell Goldstein merged with the international law firm Bryan Cave LLP to expand its global reach and service capabilities. Following the merger, the Powell Goldstein name was retired, and the combined entity eventually became part of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner.
