Pracon

Pracon was a specialized healthcare consulting firm that focused on market access, reimbursement strategy, and health economics and outcomes research (HEOR). Founded in the 1980s, the company became a key partner for pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms seeking to demonstrate the clinical and economic value of their products to payers and regulatory bodies. Pracon provided strategic guidance on coding, coverage, and payment issues, as well as clinical trial design for economic endpoints. The company was acquired by Cahners Business Information (a division of Reed Elsevier) in 1998 and was later integrated into other healthcare business intelligence and consulting units, including those associated with The Lewin Group and Optum.
