Company intelligence / Profile preview
PrairieStone Pharmacy was a specialized retail pharmacy chain that operated high-end, "boutique" pharmacy counters within upscale grocery stores, most notably Lunds & Byerlys in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. Founded in 1994, the company distinguished itself through a focus on personalized patient care, wellness products, and a premium retail experience. In 2008, the company was acquired by Walgreens, which sought to integrate PrairieStone's successful service model and strategic locations into its national network. Following the acquisition, the PrairieStone brand was largely phased out as locations were rebranded or absorbed into Walgreens' operations.
