Overview
Prapela’s SVS hospital bassinet pad is the first and only FDA De Novo authorized medical device to treat neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome in newborns exposed to opioids before birth. Clinical studies have shown that the SVS pad can improve respiratory rhythm and reduce symptoms associated with NOWS. The company is also conducting clinical trials on a new incubator pad aimed at reducing apnea and hypoxia in preterm infants, with ongoing collaborations at Tufts Medical Center and University of Alabama at Birmingham[2][3][5][6].
