Praxis Post

Praxis Post was a pioneering medical web magazine and culture publication aimed at physicians and healthcare professionals, co-founded by Sarah Greene and Mary Crowley in the late 1990s. Edited by Ivan Oransky, MD, the publication was celebrated for its high-quality investigative journalism, literary essays, and profiles of medical professionals, earning it the nickname "Vanity Fair for doctors." It focused on the intersection of medicine, culture, and biology, featuring regular contributions from prominent figures such as Gerald Weissmann. The company was part of Praxis Press, which also published the clinical reference "Best Practice of Medicine." Praxis Post was acquired by Thomson Healthcare (now part of Thomson Reuters) in the early 2000s, after which it ceased independent publication.
