Precision Components Group

Precision Components Group (PCG) was a leading manufacturer of high-precision metal components, primarily serving the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries. The company specialized in the production of complex, tight-tolerance parts for critical applications, including surgical instruments and orthopedic implants. PCG was formed as a platform company by the private equity firm Insight Equity through the consolidation of several precision manufacturing entities. In 2015, the group was acquired by NN, Inc. for approximately $375 million to expand its industrial and life sciences capabilities. Following a strategic reorganization, NN, Inc. divested its Life Sciences division, including the medical assets of the former PCG, to American Securities in 2020.
