Prime Medicine is a biotechnology company focused on the development of a novel class of one-time curative genetic therapies using its proprietary Prime Editing technology. Co-founded by gene editing pioneers David Liu and Andrew Anzalone, the company’s "search and replace" platform allows for precise DNA edits—including substitutions, insertions, and deletions—without requiring double-strand DNA breaks. Prime Medicine is advancing a diverse pipeline of 18+ programs targeting rare genetic diseases such as chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), Wilson’s disease, and cystic fibrosis. The company went public in 2022 and is currently evaluating its lead candidate, PM359, in Phase 1/2 clinical trials.
