Overview
A preliminary trial showed that twice-daily intranasal irrigation with Lactococcus lactis W136 was well tolerated by healthy volunteers and improved symptoms in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis refractory to standard treatments. A separate study suggested benefit in reducing moderate/severe COVID‑19 symptoms when initiated within four days of diagnosis compared to saline alone.
