PROCREA BioSciences was a Montreal-based biotechnology company dedicated to improving reproductive health through advanced molecular diagnostics and therapeutics. The company specialized in identifying genetic and proteomic markers for complex conditions, most notably endometriosis and male infertility. Their lead diagnostic product, Endo-P1, was developed to offer a non-invasive method for diagnosing endometriosis, traditionally requiring surgical intervention. Additionally, PROCREA maintained a therapeutic pipeline focused on small molecule inhibitors for gynecological indications. The company was acquired in 2002 by Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC), which was subsequently integrated into Siemens Healthineers.
