ProdIgY Biotech is advancing a platform of avian-derived polyclonal antibodies (IgY) for oral therapeutic use. Their lead candidate, PRO-AH-001, targets Enterococcus faecalis and its cytolysin toxin in alcoholic hepatitis and has shown promising results in preclinical models including 3D cell cultures and animal studies. The company is preparing an IND submission for this program. They are also collaborating with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to develop similar approaches for improving outcomes in patients undergoing allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation by targeting enterococcal domination events linked to poor survival and GvHD.
